Les trompettes de Versailles
Gábor Boldoczki & Cappella Gabetta
Orchestral Concert
Monday, 29 July 2019
7.30 pm, Saanen Church
Just like many of the musicians invited to Gstaad this summer, they are part of the «family». Hungarian trumpeter Gábor Boldoczki and Swiss violinist Andrés Gabetta (accompanied by his wonderful Camerata) are joining forces to pay a tribute to France with their finest arms, those of a revisited Baroque repertoire, taking temporary residence in the gardens of the Palace of Versailles, where brass and woodwind were played in the most varied fashion – from military ceremonies to theatrical merrymaking.
