DISCOVERY – Musical Adventures with Captivating Experiences

DISCOVERY presents a variety of offerings, from lively concerts tailored for the tiniest audience members to captivating workshops, guided rehearsals, and concert excursions. Customised experiences for groups and school classes are crafted upon request. Participants are encouraged to tune in with attention and unleash their creative side. Moreover, they are invited to peek behind the scenes and personally connect with accomplished musicians. DISCOVERY swings open the doors to the magical realm of music, providing platforms to actively participate, explore new avenues, and refine one’s musical senses.

The goal is to create memorable experiences, open up ears, and spark curiosity. DISCOVERY brings people closer to the world of music, making it a tangible and participatory adventure. Whether you’re a child, teenager, an individual with disabilities, or you want to come along with your family, Gstaad Menuhin Festival & Academy is open to all!

The DISCOVERY initiative is brought to life through the generous support of Angelika Heerema and her family, Babette Herbert and family, as well as the family of Sonja Fuhrmann and Holger Röder. This year’s family concert with the production of “Carmen” also receives extra support from the Festival Friends Association.

The Discovery formats are also part of the "Culture and School" programme of the Canton of Bern, through which schools can apply for travel expenses of up to CHF 800 per class/group: Absidion Portal (be.ch)
