Opening Concert – Menuhin à Paris I
Patricia Kopatchinskaja & Polina Leschenko
GALA Orchestral Concert
Thursday, 18 July 2019
7.30 pm, Saanen Church
A child prodigy, Yehudi Menuhin was eleven when he met George Enescu in Paris. The Romanian musician was to become his professor for two years, and remained, to his death, the «Absolute», the one who revealed to him his Central European roots, as well as the one who gave him his true artistic dimension. A composer to be urgently (re)discovered.
