music promotion and education
The association, recognised as a non-profit organisation, carries out its own projects in the field of music promotion and education. The annual amateur orchestra weeks of the Gstaad Festival Youth Orchestra and the Gstaad Festival Amateur Orchestra, as well as the project "Discovery: Concerts for Children and Families" are sponsored by the Festival Friends.

Kids on the Flow – Children’s and Youth Project
Children and teenagers from the Saanenland in aninterdisciplinary project featuring dance and bodypercussion.

The amateur orchestra weeks are now so popular that both orchestras have to work with waiting lists. Demanding works in a large symphony orchestra line-up challenge the young and adult amateur musicians year after year.
