Baroque Festival
Gábor Boldoczki & Iveta Apkalna
Chamber Music
Thursday, 6 August 2020
7.30 pm, Rougemont Church
A long-time member of the Gstaad Menuhin Festival & Academy family, Gábor Boldoczki is offering this year one of the most beautiful combinations available for his instrument: the acoustic union of two noble metals, the brass of the trumpet and the pewter of the organ. For this Baroque recital with Iveta Apkalna (the first titular organist of the Hamburg Elbphilharmonie), he chose the gallery of the new Baroque instrument in the Church of St. Nicholas in Rougemont, made by the Belgian firm Thomas and inaugurated in February 2019.
