Today's Music
Monday, 19 August 2019
7.30 pm, Boltigen Church
After the 8 cellos of “SaltoCello” (Thomas Grossenbacher’s Zurich ensemble) in 2012 and the 12 Cellos of the Berlin Philharmonic in 2013, the Gstaad Menuhin Festival is hosting a new “army” of cellos, French this time – cf. Parisian edition! –, led by Pidoux father and son, pillars of cello tuition at the Paris Conservatoire, and distinguished chamber musicians. A programme 100% French… what else?
