Mozart à Paris III – Kristian Bezuidenhout
Chamber Music
Tuesday, 27 August 2019
7.30 pm, Lauenen Church
You most certainly know «Ah! vous dirais-je, maman», but are you also familiar with the piano variations written by Mozart during his stay in Paris in 1778 on the songs «Je suis Lindor», «Lison dormait», and also «La belle Française»? On a period piano, «specialist» Kristian Bezuidenhout invites you to (re)discover Lison’s night-time adventures (originally imagined by Nicolas Dezède for his comic-opera Julie), before leaping over a few decades to climb the summit of one of the first Romantic masterpieces, Beethoven’s «Pathétique».
