Opulent Liszt –Dejan Lazić in Recital

Following the intimate sonorities of the chamber music concert from the previous evening, Dejan Lazić – who no longer needs an introduction at the Gstaad Menuhin Festival! – is on stage alone at the piano performing the music of piano virtuoso Franz Liszt. Liszt is not only the poet who authored works such as the “Années de pèlerinage” but who also made arrangements of many contemporary masterpieces as well as from the past. Such arrangements were very popular at the time, the salons were overflowing with them, but Liszt brought to them something unique: a true passion to recreate, as testified to by the more than 350 such works that he left for posterity.
