Matinée des Jeunes Etoiles II – Leia Zhu
Chamber Music
Saturday, 23 July 2022
10.30 am, Gstaad Chapel
Leia Zhu, an Anglo-Chinese violinist with a formidable résumé at just 15 years of age, is travelling to Gstaad with German pianist Benjamin Engeli and a multicoloured programme that is a true invitation to travel. From Stravinsky's revisited Italian Pulcinella to Pablo de Sarasate's wild Spanish Dances, via Francis Poulenc's playful and sometimes delightfully roguish France: this recital by Itzhak Rashkovsky's young pupil reveals exceptional variety.
