It takes strong fingers, but also a strong mind to embark on such a programme! In addition to Liszt's dizzying Reminiscences of Norma and Prokofiev's no less monumental Eighth Sonata, Dominic Chamot has indeed chosen to open his recital with Janáček's “In the Mists” cycle: four movements that constitute as many universes, in which the aim is to translate all the finesse of contrasts –  from the pastels of the Andante evoking Debussy to the archaic accents of the final Presto, via the dramatic impetus of the Molto adagio and the lyricism of the Andantino ... quite a challenge!
