Matinée des Jeunes Etoiles I – Chiara Opalio - fully booked
Chamber music
Saturday 17 July 2021
10.30 am, Gstaad Chapel
Chiara Opalio began playing the piano at the age of three! After Trieste and the “Incontri col Maestro” Academy in Imola, where she was taught by Enrico Pace, she studied at the Hochschule für Musik in Basel in Claudio Martínez Mehner 's class. She still has ties to the school as an accompanist in Thomas Demenga's cello class. Drawn to the stage at an early age, she formed a daring duo with Irish violinist Eoin Ducrot and is currently benefitting from Sir András Schiff's “Building Bridges” programme – a sponsorship which, among other things, enabled her and her partner to be invited to the Beethoven Festival in Bonn in 2019.
The performance of Chiara Opalio will be broadcast on Gstaad Digital Festival on 19 July at 7.30 pm. Following all concerts of the “Jeunes Étoiles” series, you can vote for your favorite in the online voting on gstaaddigitalfestival.ch from 9.9 – 30.9.21.
