“Haydn full blast” – Children’s and Family Concert

Out of fashion and ordinary, “Papa Haydn”? Not if you really listen to his music – to his humor, his finesse… and the rhythm! The father of the classical symphony and string quartet is at the heart of the new educational project devised by the Pumpernickel Company and its team, combining musical discovery and corporal expression, composition of a musical piece in Haydn’s style or even writing of a rap inspired by Haydn and his music. Workshops, flash mobs, and finally two performances on the Dorfplatz in Saanen: such is the nine-month program that awaits the pupils and students from Biel, Gsteig and Basel selected for the adventure, to offer a Haydn “full blast” to the population at the end of it.
