One of the legends of French jazz, guitarist with an extra-terrestrial technique and father of the famous “gypsy” style; he became particularly famous during the 1930s within the Hot Club of France, together with violinist Stéphane Grappelli, accomplice of a certain… Yehudi Menuhin. Biréli Lagrène pays tribute to him together with other virtuoso string players, those of the Janoska family, who is taking advantage of his visit to give an improvisation workshop to the students of the String Academy.
