«Listen all of you! We are going to hold a masked ball!» said the oldest of the chimpanzees. «I could sing», said the donkey. And thus, the zoo animals started dancing their carnival... a unique carnival of their own! Some hop, others clap, fly or swim. On Saint-Saëns's well-known music and texts by Jörg Schneider, the children of the Saanenland are offering a Carnival in the form of a shadow play.
