Matinée des Jeunes Etoiles III – Miyako Arishima
Chamber Music
Saturday, 3 August 2019
10.30 am, Gstaad Chapel
Born in 1992, Japanese pianist Miyako Arishima trained first of all in her own country, at the Toho Gakuen University of Music, then at the Feliks Nowowiejski Academy in Bydgoszcz, Poland, with Katarzyna Popowa-Zydroń and d'Agata Nowakowska-Gumiela. She has since acquired a particular taste for Chopin and Polish music, incorporated in her Gstaad recital, which will end with a Suite of Preludes by Kazimierz Serocki, cutting edge of the Polish avant-garde, who trained in Lódz then in Paris with Nadia Boulanger.
