The Queen Elisabeth Competition in Brussels is for violinists what the Chopin Competition in Warsaw is for pianists: the holy grail! Young Korean violinist Ji-Young Lim will not contradict this… even if the televised announcement of the results on 31 May 2015 caused her to suffer a bit of a cold sweat! Following her recital of Mozart, Beethoven and Brahms last year, Ji-Young Lim is back in Lauenen with a new chamber music programme under the banner of the “Menuhin's Heritage Artists”. In harmony with the theme of the major concert cycle in the Festival in 2018, she pays homage to Schubert and to the popular roots in his music.
