Matinée des Jeunes Etoiles I – Ziyu He
Chamber Music
Saturday, 15 July 2017
10.30 am, Gstaad Chapel
A student of Paul Raczek (violin) and Thomas Riebl (viola) at the Mozarteum in Salzburg, Chinese violinist Ziyu He (16 years old) is already the recipient of an impressive number of awards: he won the Eurovision Young Musicians Competition and the Markneukirchen Instrumental Competition in 2014 as well as the First Zhuhai International Mozart Competition for Young Musicians in 2015 – something which makes his first teacher, Xiangrong Zhang, who took him under his wing at the age of five, very proud. And of course the concert-goers who had the chance to hear him perform Bach’s Concerto in E with the Gstaad Festival Chamber Orchestra at the unforgettable “B-B-B” concert in the church in Saanen at last year’s Gstaad Menuhin Festival are certain to be looking forward to this opportunity to hear him once again!
