Born in Indiana in 1990, Christel Lee grew up in Canada. Following studies at the Juilliard School with Naoko Tanaka and Kyung-Wha Chung, she joined Ana Chumachenco’s class at the Kronberg Academy in 2012. The prize winner of the prestigious Sibelius Competition in 2015, she was a sensation last year at the Matinée des Jeunes Etoiles in the chapel in Gstaad. She returns this summer with a remarkable chamber music programme centering around the dialogue between her violin and the oboe of Andrey Godik, the solo oboist of the Gstaad Festival Orchestra.
