Anderszewski plays Mozart
GALA Orchestral Concert
Sunday, 6 August 2017
6 pm, Saanen Church
Piano lovers are sure to be spoiled by this year’s programme in Gstaad. Another exemplification of this is the arrival of Piotr Anderszewski, one of the most interesting artists of his generation. Trained in Warsaw when it was under Soviet occupation, he sees himself as a “stateless” artist, preferring to mention Paris, Poland, London or Lisbon as his home ports. During a recent stay in La Chaux-de-Fonds, he confided to Temps that: “I like to be in Switzerland. It is as if there is enough of everything everywhere.” The ecstasy of silence. And this summer the advent of two monuments by Mozart in the midst of the Alps.
