Aida
Opera in concert versions
Friday, 1 September 2017
7.30 pm, Gstaad Festival Tent
He is a subtle and patient conductor… one who has a reason for taking his time! The talented Gianandrea Noseda has earned a sort of universal acceptance, particularly for his work at the Teatro Regio in Turin. He is in Gstaad for two concerts with one of the most faithful orchestras to the festival, the brilliant LSO, who named him its guest conductor in February 2016. The two concerts demonstrate Noseda’s wide range of his talents. He begins with opera, with a concert version of Verdi’s monumental “Aida”: a fresco commissioned by the Egyptian Khedive. The conductor can count on the presence of outstanding soloists and the Teatro Regio Torino Chorus, all of whom he knows well!
This concert is offered by Mrs Aline Foriel-Destezet.
